Mount Teide

Mount Teide is located on Tenerife in the Canary Islands off the northwest coast of Africa. Mount Teide is the highest peak on Spanish soil and is located inside Teide National Park. An aerial cable car and hiking trails allow visitors to enjoy the volcanic area during the day. At night you can sign up for a guided tour of the universe with certified astronomical guides and professional telescopes. The hour-long session will point out planets, galaxies, clusters and craters on the moon. From this location, observers can see 83 of the 88 officially recognized constellations.
