Mount Magazine State Park is located 57 miles (91 km) east of Fort Smith, Arkansas. Mount Magazine is the highest point in the state at 2,753 feet, and its remote location means the area is light-pollution free. This gorgeous state park boasts the crown jewel of the entire Arkansas State Park system with its first-class lodge. The breathtaking natural scenery includes peaks for technical climbing.
