Ludington State Park Beach

Ludington State Park in Michigan, USA, lies between lake Michigan and the inside Hamlin lake, providing it with long stretches of shoreline along both lakes. The park consists of 5,300 acres (2100 hectares or 21 square km) of sand dunes, beaches, the iconic Big Sable Point Lighthouse, wetlands, marshlands and forests and hosts 3 campgrounds. An EarthSky friend wrote: “You can be at the beach all night without camping but need to be staying in the campground to view from the Lost Lake Boardwalk.”
