Lethbridge Astronomy Society

The Lethbridge Astronomy Society is a society comprised of enthusiastic members eager to study and share their love of the night sky, located about 135 miles (217 km) southeast of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The society owns and operates the Oldman River Observatory, which is considered one of the best equipped amateur astronomy facilities in Canada, as well as the Rick Ponomar Astronomical Laboratory, feauturing a telescope as well as its own presentation room used for group viewing of live astronomical imagery. The society holds free public observing sessions once per month from October to February (excluding December) – weather permitting. Camping is not allowed here, however admission is open to the public for the annual observing sessions or by group reservation. For more information, please visit online or call 403-381-STAR.
