Lemon Creek Park

Lemon Creek Park is a Staten Island park and picnic area, located just 28 miles (45 km) southwest of the famed New York, New York. Please note that while there are no designated stargazing spots, the park is accessible by the public year-round and offers a biking path, walking path, nearby hiking trails, and a beautiful view of Prince’s Bay. One EarthSky friend says “If you are facing the ocean, all of the city lights get drowned out behind you and it gets nice and dark. The sounds of the ocean water enhances any stargazing session at this small park that leads to a tiny beach, soothing your soul and connecting you to the universe!” Camping is not available, however the park is open until 1:00 AM for ample time to stargaze, admire, and wonder at the night sky. For more information, please visit online or call the district office at 718-984-5151.
