Las Villuercas is a “low mountain area, with large depopulated areas. The villages in the area are small, with few lights at night and are isolated by mountain ranges, leaving dark valleys between them. Larger nuclei of population are far, around 40 kmtrs away, and the said mountains prevent their light from reaching this area. Moreover, these larger populations are also small. Bortle rating: 2-3. In the area, there are plenty of rural houses that ensure a pleasant accommodation. It belongs to the Geopark of the Villuercas within the SIA Appalachian National Scenic Trail.”
