Lake D’Arbonne State Park

Lake D’Arbonne State Park is located in norther Louisiana on one of the state’s largest lakes. One of the few Louisiana state parks with designated bike trails, Lake D’Arbonne is also inviting for disc golfers, tennis players and swimmers. The bass fishing is world-class and the lake is one of eight designated prime bass fishing spots along the Louisiana Bass Trail. Overnight visitors can choose from cabins, lodges, RV sites and primitive campsites. On the far end of Lake D’Arbonne is a spillway recommended by an EarthSky user: “Miles away from city/town light pollution, on a lake in the open country with piers and docks to sit by the open water.”
