A part of the Cleveland Metroparks in Ohio, Hinckley Reservation is a nature preserve dominated by the 90-acre Hinckley Lake. The reservation is primarily enjoyed during the day by fishermen and paddle sport enthusiasts, but features meny other activities and amenities. The Cuyahoga Astronomical Association (https://cuyastro.org/) occasionally uses this site for its public star parties, and while the reservation is normally closed after business hours, members of the association or visitors attending astronomy events can arrange for nightime access via the park rangers. A Cleveland stargazer shared the following with EarthSky: “Part of our Cleveland Metroparks, but at a higher elevation and away from city lights, you can truly see the stars and moon so beautifully.”
