Grasslands National Park is a grand prairie park located just above the Canada-Montana state border, about 204 miles (328 km) southwest of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. It’s a protected place of national significance and inspires discovery of its unique ecosystems, including the amazing adaptations of plants, animals and people to its challenging environment. During the International Year of Astronomy in 2009, the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada declared the park a dark sky preserve for its opportunities to spend the night beneath a canopy of brilliant stars. Please note that while camping is allowed, the park closes at dusk and does not permit overnight stays otherwise. For more details, visit online or call 877-345-2257.
