The Dark Sky Preserve in North Frontenac is a public observation pad located 2 hours from Ottawa,and New York State, and 4 hours from Montreal and Toronto. It’s a public space with amenities including parking, accessible bathroom and electrical service, where anyone can setup their telescope and enjoy the darkest skies in southern Ontario. At organized events, amateur astronomers are available to provide context. Please note that while camping is not available, the site is open all hours of the day for public access and viewing at no cost or fee.
