Chabot Space and Science Center

Chabot Space and Science Center is a center for science learning, just 19 miles (31 km) east of San Francisco, California. The museum is centered around space science and features interactive exhibits, planetariums, a large screen theater, hands-on activities and three powerful telescopes that offer a unique way to experience the awe and wonder of the universe, available for celestial viewing day and night at 1,500 feet above the Bay. Chabot also hosts lectures and star parties, which are held on occasion and announced via the website’s event calendar. Please note that while camping is not available to the general public, there is a summer camp opportunity for young explorers ages 6-11. Admission is open between 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday. For more information, please visit online or 510-336-7300.
