Canon 6Dmark II with a Canon 24/105 mm
Did no post on this shot
Last night was really unexpected on the northern lights being out. I have to work at 5:30 am. So I was about to go to bed at 9 when my phone blew up on alerts for the northern lights. I did not have a lot of time to go farther out of town. So I thought about it and decided to go down to Giant Springs park here in Great Falls mt. to see what I could see. They was out and really good. Unfortunately there was clouds. I set up my camera on the tripod and shot a few shots. I was out for about a hour and got a few good shots. I was just about to leave when I looked up above me. And Steve showed up really bright. I never seen a white aurora before in person. I shot about 60 shots of this. And when it started to fade away. It had abut 6 bright green plasma pillars. It was one of the coolest Steve I have seen seen.
