For the white light image, PIPP was used to convert mp4 file to avi file and 300 frames of video were stacked with AutoStakkert. Microsoft Photo was used for post-processing of the stacked image. For the hydrogen alpha image, 600 frames of video were stacked with AutoStakkert. Registax was used to adjust wavelets and additional post-processing used Photoshop and Microsoft Photo. False color was added using Photoshop.
I captured these filtered images of the Sun in white light (L) and hydrogen alpha (R) on Saturday afternoon. Several sunspot groups, areas of plage, and many filaments/prominences are visible, indicated considerable activity.
