Autumn is ushered in by the early morning spectacle of Orion rising on its side. This constellation is home to and close to some of the brightest and most stunning nebulae in the sky. Left to right the belt stars are Alnitak, Alnilam, and Mintaka. This image captures the Flame and Horsehead nebulae that encircle Alnitak.
