This image shows the Milky Way in the area of the constellation Sagittarius just after midnight while at Kejimkujik National Park this past week. Several Messier objects are visible in this image (upper left: globular cluster Messier 22; middle, top to bottom: nebulae Messier 20 and Messier 8, open star clusters Messier 6 and Messier 7). The Dark Horse Nebula on the right side of the image is a large dark nebula that obscures part of the Milky Way as seen from Earth.
