Black-necked Stilt (left) and American Avocet (right) mingling at Raymond Pool at Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) in Delaware.
These tall shorebirds are regular visitors in summer, with the Stilt breeding in Delaware. The Avocets visit, but typically breed in the prairies of the mid-west. It is always a treat to see these two side by side.
