Image Details:

Full Moon above Hospital Hill in darkness and reflected volcanic sunrise.
Almost daily vivid volcanic sunrises in Mutare are often being preceded by the appearance of early reflections of colour (reflected dawning) along the opposite horizon. An hour before sunrise on 14th June the Full Moon and was photographed setting behind Hospital Hill in reflected volcanic sunrise tinted sky to the west-south-west of Mutare. The anti-sunrise twilight glow is being caused by scattering of light from evenly distributed stratospheric aerosols derived from the January eruption of the Hunga-Tonga volcano.
