Hand-held Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS40 compact camera in sunset mode
Minimal application of Star Spikes Pro filter to make the planets (especially Mars and Jupiter) more clearly visible above the bright volcanic sunrise twilight arch.
Mars, Venus-Saturn Conjunction & Waning Crescent Moon above Volcanic Sunrise Twilight Arch.
Fortunate breaks in overnight cloud during the hour before sunrise on Tuesday provided intermittent views of Mars above a Venus-Saturn Conjunction and the Waning (10%) Crescent Moon above an emerging strongly coloured Volcanic Sunrise Twilight Arch. The accompanying photograph was taken at 5.37 as the Moon and Planets gradually disappeared into the bright light of volcanic sunrise. This contrasts with the previous morning (28th) when 100% overcast prevented observation of the much advertised https://earthsky.org/tonight/conjunction-morning-planets-moon-march-27-28-2022/ conjunction between the Moon and all three planets.
