Best 330 frames of video plus flat calibration frame were stacked using AutoStakkert; sharpened and levels adjusted using IMPPG, other post-processing was with Photoshop CS2 plus Astronomy Tools plugin, PhotoScape X and MS Photo.
Sunspot AR2960 had just rotated into view when I imaged it in hydrogen alpha mid morning on Saturday 5 March. A large prominence and several filaments, which are prominences seen top-down, are also visible. The light area near the sunspot is called plage.
