Canon 5D MK III
This is the north facing pali ( cliff) on the North Kohala coast of Hawaii. We can see in the distant the Mokupuku islets. These valleys are quite inaccessible, except via an overgrown footpath that traverses up, over, and down to each valley. Some of the valleys were once inhabited by Hawaiians and Japanese laborers who were brought here as ditch makers. Many left after a large tsunami struck the area. Today, nobody lives there anymore and are only frequented by botanists and foolhardy backpackers.
