Last night I took a break from imaging DSOs and imaged some lunar features. This is Petavius, a large impact crater near the southeastern limb of the Moon. The deep fracture that runs from the large central mountains to the southwest rim of the crater is clearly visible in this image. Petavius has a diameter of 177 km and a depth of 3.4 km.
