Image Details:

A Jovian Corona.

Normally we associate the optical phenomenon "corona" or the diffraction of light via water droplets on clouds with moon (lunar corona) or sun (solar corona). However, on rare occosians, bright planets like venus and jupiter can also display such corona.

I was lucky to be able to capture one on 30th september evening. The jovian corona was very dim and couldn't be easily spotted with naked eyes. I was able to see it on my camera's live view, thanks to the fast focal ratio of the lens.

This image is a stack of 40 images, each image of 15 second exposures.
