NIkon D850. 35mm, f/2.8, 1/5sec, ISO 160
crop, sharpen to emphasize Venus and Spica
Over and to the right of Chief Kiawanda Rock is Spica appearing faint, and level to its right is Venus appearing brighter and larger. Venus is the celestial body that makes me smile when I see her when after the Sun has set. At twilight Venus is the first I notice to appear in the western sky, the third brightest celestial object in the sky after the Sun and the Moon. I read in Earthsky that Venus and Spica will have a conjunction on Sep 5. Wishing for a clear sky then!
