While shooting the Milky Way at the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse the Chinese Long March 5 rocket booster, which had earlier in the evening re-entered Earth's atmosphere, streaked by overhead. It was easily visible to the naked eye. The rocket body could be seen glowing red with a long, wide tail.
