Heading toward the conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn.
An update for Thursday, Dec 10 ... Jupiter continues to approach Saturn in the SW Evening Sky. The two will appear to be 'touching' each other by Dec 21 but in actuality, they will be about a half-billion miles apart. I've been taking successive images as weather permits and have been adding to the count. The Galilean moons of Jupiter are quite dominate in these views. Saturn is moving too but not nearly as much. I locked the image on Saturn to show the progression of Jupiter.
