Processed in PixInsight - Used ArcsignStretch and AutoHistogram to bring out the details
Photoshop for final color correction/noise reduction.
This was a little bit of an experiment on my part. I'm new to the idea of "DSO" imaging. Up until this point, I really just did wide-field milky way, with a few close ups of the parts of core. But always stuck with single image tracked shots. For this one, I used 5 tracked shots and stacked them - then processed them. I was rather shocked at the amount of detail that was "hidden" in the Ion tail! I definitely want to do more of this type of photography now!
