This photo of Mercury and Venus taken from Palos Verdes, overlooking Santa Monica Bay. I used a 4 second exposure, at F4.0, with my ISO set at 125. My lense was set at 32mm.
I believe the star in the upper right is Capella. Not sure of the star above Venus.
