In the late evening the sky was completely clear allowing a picture to be taken of the Moon at the exact instant of First Quarter at 10.38 pm. Three quarters of an hour later it was captured setting behind some Musasa trees at the foot of the Christmas Pass slope of Transmitter Hill.
