Image Details:

Travel North along the Galactic Plane from the Small Sagittarius Star Cloud and you will find the Molecular Cloud in Scutum (the Shield).
Thin clouds obscured some of the dark nebulae in this view, but they gave a nice glow to the 4th magnitude stars!
At the Eastern edge of this cloud lies M11, the Wild Duck Cluster. You can easily see this thru binoculars, but you really need a large scope at high magnification to bring out it's true beauty. It's small and condensed (unlike the Beehive Cluster in Cancer).
It's difficult to take an early morning image with this lens without catching a piece of space junk. So I use Stellarium to show me when I'll have a 5 second window to get a satellite-free image.
After all that, I end up with a meteor photo-bombing my shot! Some days you just can't win.
