Composite created in Photoshop combining one image taken at 6:06 using a Nikkor zoom at 42mm and a second taken at 6:56 using a Sigma 14mm.
It was a beautiful night for stargazing in the Rampart Range Mountains above Woodland Park. I spent an hour watching Venus and the crescent moon descending toward the horizon to my right, then turned to my left, changed lenses and took a picture of Sirius and Orion heading toward Pikes Peak.
