Cumulus Cloud with Sundog
As the late afternoon Sun was descending behind a bank of cumulus cloud a Sun Dog (parhelion) appeared above it. Just after doing so the portion of cloud beneath became bird-shaped giving the impression that the Sun Dog was perched on one of its wings. Another sunlit portion of cumulus cloud then started to rise in front to provide this spectacular photograph.
