The planet Venus Sunday Evening. That is the very bright planet in the SW Evening Sky. The Telescopic view shows a bright cloud cover featureless planet. Venus also exhibits phases like the moon. Venus is currently waning in phase but is slowly growing larger in size as it begins to get closer to earth as it orbits the sun faster than the earth. Venus will dominate the winter and springtime sky.
The telescope used was the Celestron 11" with a 3 X Barlow
