Shortly after 6 p.m. EST, I photographed the last full moon of the decade as it passed behind the Chrysler Building in New York City. I took the shot through an open window in my office on the 60th floor of the Empire State Building — chilly business, since it was about 33 degrees outside at the time. Appropriate conditions for photographing the "Cold Moon," I guess!
