Jacaranda Moon
Crystal clear blue sky after sunrise on 17th October allowed the waning Gibbous Moon to be photographed descending towards the Christmas Pass hills behind some splendid flowering Jacaranda Trees in Murambi suburb Mutare. In the Northern Hemisphere the first Full Moon after the Equinox is known as the Hunter’s Moon, perhaps in Southern Africa it should be called the Jacaranda Moon?
