Nikon P900
In Singapore skies yesterday night, the lunar corona was seen at about 8 pm. A corona is an optical phenomenon produced by the diffraction of moonlight by individual small water droplets and sometimes tiny ice crystals of a cloud or on a foggy glass surface. A corona is said to consist of several concentric, pastel-colored rings around the celestial object and a central bright area called aureole. The photo of this lunar aureole was taken from Nikon Coolpix P900
