Waning Crescent Moon parts company with occluded Taurus star

A partially cloudy sky prevented the old thin waning crescent Moon of 1st July from appearing immediately above the horizon. However as it rose higher it became visible from time to time between passing clouds. As it did so it was noticed that the Earthshine portion of the Moon had occluded a tiny Gemini star which appeared from behind it and gradually moved away before both faded into the brightening dawn sky. If you look carefully you can just see the star in eight of the nine frames in the accompanying composite image.
