Beautiful, clear night sky over our campsite in Klamath County, Oregon, Thursday night. Unexpected surprise were a few meteors, one captured near the center of this image. American Meteor Society (https://www.amsmeteors.org/…/meteor-activity-outlook-for-j…/) reports "the June Bootids (originating in the constellation Bootes, which includes the very bright star Arcturus) are usually a very weak shower that occasionally produces outbursts." I counted 4 in the about one hour that I was observing.
