Cropped, tried to lighten the beach scene but this sunset was in it's last fiery gasp.

This is just another beauty of a Florida beach sunset, but my question to the group here is what are those upside-down crescent curve shapes just above the horizon? Looks like shadows some sort but they are so uniform...makes me wonder.
