After weeks of cloudy skies in Southern New England, overnight this past Monday - Tuesday brought clear skies on a night with practically no Moon. I met a fellow astro geek out at Frosty Drew Observatory in Charlestown, RI, where we spent the night chasing down galaxies, nebulae, star clusters, and the bright morning planets. I swapped out the telescope at one point with my camera and captured this image of the Milky Way rising over the observatory.
