irregular linear cells_strother_thumb

A somewhat irregular linear chain of cells attached together forming this unnamed, billion-year-old microfossil, recovered from ancient lake deposits laid down in Northwest Scotland as part of the Cailleach Head Formation. Scale bar in photograph is 10 ?m.
