cuticle-like fragment

Fragment of a larger organic structure that appears as a cuticle-like organic sheet. These kinds of organic structures are not diagnostic of any particular kind of eukaryote, but they indicate a degree of biological structure that is unexpected for a billion year-old deposit (Kinloch Formation, Isle of Skye, Scotland). Scale bar in photograph is 50 ?m.
