Lake Le-Aqua-Na State Park in Illinois has a number of campgrounds and is located 6 miles (10 km) south of the Illinois-Wisconsin state line. The park offers multi-use trails, picnic areas, and a multitude of campgrounds: for RVs, tents, youth groups and an equestrian campground for horse owners. An EarthSky friend said the following about the site: “No street lights, out in the middle of farmland. They have some trailheads on the south side of the park with asphalt parking lots (easy telescope setup). A great view of the sky in all directions with very little tree interference.”
