Bieszczady National Park, Poland
September 1, 2016
Bieszczady National Park – which overlaps with the Karkonosze National Park – is a grand Polish-Ukrainian park about 123 miles (198 km) northeast of Košice, Slovakia. It was the world’s first cross-border project of its kind, and has a mission to protect the dark sky from light pollution including a mini-observatory, as well as to advance the sustainable development of the region and green tourism. Please note that while camping is allowed, only two campground areas are available and are not part of Bieszczady’s designated observation sites. For more information, visit online or call +48 (13) 461-06-10.
