Who are we to say what will happen and to whom. Are we so obsessed with predictions and unbased kowledge that we would believe anything, even from our brightest scholars and scientist? The truth of the matter is we don't know anything and the only knowledge that is true is based on experience. I only hope that if we are to experience a leap in evolution that it happens to people that truly deserve it. As for myself, I hope that I live to see the day when man is finally brought to his true state.
