PBS’s long-running science program NOVA has placed online a 20-minute video about the small asteroid that entered Earth’s atmosphere over Russian on February 15, 2013 and exploded in the atmosphere, injuring over 1,000 people. Scientists say the February 15 superbollide was the largest object to burst in the atmosphere since the Tunguska event of 1908. The NOVA video – called “Meteor Strike” – premiered last night (March 26, 2013).
