Tony Barnston is lead forecaster at the International Research Institute for Climate and Society (IRI), associated with Columbia University, in Palisades, NY. At IRI Barnston ensures the production of a range of IRI forecast products, including monthly forecasts of sea surface temperatures, and global precipitation and temperature. He has authored atlases, reports and journal papers on weather and climate.
