Richard Prum

Richard Prum is the William Robertson Coe Professor of Ornithology, Ecology, and Evolutionary Biology at Yale University and head curator of Vertebrate Zoology at the Peabody Museum of Natural History at Yale. Dr. Prum received a MacArthur “Genius” Grant in 2009. He is best known for his study of development and evolution of feathers and research that supports the theory that dinosaurs are ancestors of birds. Previously, his work has been supported with a Guggenheim Fellowship, a Fulbright Scholar Award, and grants from the National Science Foundation.
