Marek Janko is a materials scientist at the Center of Smart Interfaces of Technical University, Darmstadt, Germany. He researches the function, structure, and resilience of biological materials and has co-authored six scientific articles using measurement techniques such as atomic force microscopy and Raman spectroscopy. His prior study of The Iceman mummy includes published work analyzing its collagen. Mr. Janko has a Master of Science from the University of Applied Science Munich and recently completed his dissertation entitled “Structure and Stability of biological materials – Characterisation at the Nanoscale” at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich.
