Planetary scientist Luciano Iess is a professor of aerospace engineering at Sapienza University in Rome, Italy. Dr. Iess lists over 50 peer-reviewed publications to his credit. He is a radio science team member of the Cassini space mission, an ongoing mission whose main objective is to study the planet Saturn and its moons Titan and Iapetus. Cassini is an international collaborative effort run by the U.S. space agency NASA, the Italian Space Agency and the European Space Agency.
