Howard Herzog is a principal research engineer at the MIT Energy Initiative and a recognized expert on greenhouse gas mitigation technologies. His recent study with co-author Ashleigh Hildebrand showed that CO2 capture is affordable today at coal-fired power plants and provides a framework for estimating the storage capacity for greenhouse gases underground.
